COVID-19: Coming to the Airport?

Here’s what you need to know…

Departing Passengers:
  • Face Masks: All passengers must wear masks/face covering at all times.
  • Travellers Only: Terminal access is restricted to passengers who are travelling or employees. Meeters and greeters or those dropping friends and loved ones off at the airport are not permitted to enter the terminal.
  • Limited Amenities: Due to our reduced flight schedule, hours of operation and menu selection may be reduced at our food and beverage operations.
  • Physical Distancing: Maintain a safe physical distance of 2 metres from others whenever possible.
Arriving Passengers:
  • Face Masks: All passengers must wear masks/face covering at all times.
  • Travellers Only: Terminal access is restricted to passengers who are travelling or employees. Meeters and greeters or those picking up friends and loved ones at the airport are not permitted to enter the terminal.
  • 1st Hour Free Parking: Parking is free for the first hour in our short-term lot. Ask your friends and family to stay in their vehicle instead of coming into the terminal building.
  • Grab and Go: When arriving at YYG Charlottetown Airport, please exit the terminal building immediately upon collecting your bags.
  • Physical Distancing: Maintain a safe physical distance of 2 metres from others whenever possible.
Some exceptions apply:

Wearing a mask/face covering is not recommended if:

  • You are under the age of two
  • You are unable to remove a face covering without assistance
  • You have trouble breathing
  • You are dining at a food and beverage location

If you are not travelling, you may still enter the terminal building if:

  • You are a friend or family member of someone who requires mobility assistance
  • You are accompanying a minor who is travelling alone
  • You are an employee
  • You are a customer of Budley's Restaurant
  • You are seeking assistance from the Car Rental agencies
  • You are seeking assistance from Canada Border Services Agency
  • You are making a delivery
  • You are a contractor
