The Charlottetown Airport Authority, in conjunction with Charlottetown Police Services, WestJet, Island EMS, PEI EMO, and the RCMP, would like to notify the public that a security exercise will be taking place this afternoon, Wednesday, November 14th at the Charlottetown Airport.
The public is advised not to be alarmed by the increased presence of police at the airport and on Union Road. There should be no impact on regular flight schedules or operations.
The exercise is intended to allow the Airport Authority and its security partners to test their respective procedures to deal with a real security threat at the airport. This exercise will be a valuable training tool for all parties involved.
