In addition to the federal investment, Premier Wade MacLauchlan was on hand to announce that the Government of Prince Edward Island will provide funding of $900,000 to the project.
“The financial support from both the Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island will allow us to modernize this key infrastructure asset and provide a safe operating environment for our users that meets the latest design standards in our industry,” said CEO Doug Newson. “We would like to thank both of our government partners for realizing the importance of this project to the growth of our airport, and our province.”
