It seems like every blogger out there now produces gift guides this time of year and we wanted to get in on the action. And being an airport, we thought what better way to share our favourite “must have” travel essentials for that frequent flyer on your list than with a holiday gift guide.
Here are our top 5 gifts for travellers:
1. GPS Tag for Luggage
Our favourite: Tile Mate. http://bit.ly/2zIiu0v
Never heard of it? It’s a Bluetooth tracker you attach to anything that matters. The device works with a mobile app that allows you to locate lost items. To find anything you put a Tile on, open the app and look up the Tile associated with that item. Of course, the tile won’t ship your lost luggage back to you, but at least you have an idea of where it is.
This is also great for people who always seem to misplace their phone, keys, remote, kid…the list goes on and on.
2. Reusable Water Bottle
There is nothing worst than paying $3.50 for water! We suggest getting that traveller on your list a stylish reusable water bottle. Not only is it great for the environment (hello, saving the whales!) but it’s also great for the wallet. Bye, bye pricy Aquafina!
Our favourite: S’Well. Now these are pricier than your average reusable water bottle but they are soooo not average. We can’t even pick between all the adorable colors and styles. http://bit.ly/2RCvMmd
3. Packing Cubes
Two words. Game. Changer. Talk to anyone who has packing cubes and they will tell you that they will never go back. Not only are these an organizer’s dream, they make packing and unpacking a breeze. They keep your clothes compressed and perfectly organized so you know exactly where to find whatever you need.
Tip: Look for cubes made from canvas or nylon making them durable, lightweight and easy to wash. Avoid plastic as it doesn’t allow your clothes to breathe.

4. Personalized Passport and Luggage Tags
Let’s get personal, personal (song like Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical”). Let’s try that again…Let’s get personal, personal! Well done. Let’s be honest, monogramming just makes everything better riiight? Try gifting your loved one with a monogramed passport holder or luggage tag this holiday and we guarantee an “awwwwwe” from them. You can thank us later.
We like these ones from Leatherology (http://bit.ly/2KYFVHr) and Gigi New York (http://bit.ly/2EixmH4).
5. Wireless Headphones
The thought of travelling without headphones makes us nauseous. Listening to podcasts, a Spotify playlist, audio book or in-flight movie is what gets us through those long hours on a plane or in an airport terminal so without headphones, we would go nuts. We recommend getting your favourite traveller a pair of wireless headphones. The Apple Air Pods we link below can even sense when they are in your ears and pause when you take them out. They are wireless, connect instantly and can be used with all your devices.
