Accessibility Plan and Feedback Process 2024-2027

We recognize that accessibility and inclusion are crucial for a sustainable future, and we are dedicated to identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to equal access at YYG. To show our commitment, we have developed an Accessibility Plan and Feedback Process that outlines our current programs and the steps we will take over the next three years to improve accessibility in our services and facilities.

Accessibility Inside the Airport

These services are available to all passengers:

  • Accessible parking stalls
  • Washrooms are equipped with grab bars and Life Call
  • Braille washroom signage
  • Airport staff trained in assisting persons in need
  • Wheelchair assistance
  • Wheelchairs available upon request
  • Electric cart services
  • Baggage assistance
  • Assistance by guiding
  • Oversized, sliding doors equipped with motion detectors
  • TTY public telephones
  • Accessible check-in and information counters
  • Curbside assistance
  • Groundside and airside pet relief areas

Travelling with Service Animals

Service animals and guide dogs are welcome in our terminal.

There are two designated pet relief areas. The groundside pet relief area is located outside in the grassy area adjacent to the Arrivals entrance/exit. The airside pet relief area is located outside the pedway that can be accessed once you have gone through security screening. Please dispose of your pet’s waste in the garbage cans provided outside the terminal building.

Accessible transportation to and from the airport can be pre-arranged with the following companies. Advance notice is required.

Curbside & Baggage Assistance

At the Charlottetown Airport, facilitating travel for persons requiring assistance is a priority. Passengers may request curbside and/or baggage assistance on a prearranged basis by completing the form below. As an alternative, passengers can call 1-902-566-7997 at anytime to request curbside or baggage assistance.
