General Aviation Parking
Welcome to Charlottetown Airport (CYYG)
General Aviation aircraft are welcome at Charlottetown Airport.
All General Aviation parking is Prior Permission Required (PPR) and is subject to operational requirements and apron availability. Parking is assigned by the Charlottetown Airport Authority on a first-come, first-served basis.
Airport parking approval does not constitute confirmation of fuel, ground handling, or other aircraft services. Operators are responsible for arranging all required services directly with the applicable service providers before arrival.
Request Prior Permission Required (PPR)
To request aircraft parking, please contact Airport Operations.
Airport Operations (PPR Requests)
Please provide:
- Aircraft registration and type
- Operator
- Arrival date and time
- Departure date and time
- Origin and destination
- Number of crew and passengers
- Overnight parking requirements (if applicable)
Following review, Airport Operations will advise whether parking is available and, if approved, provide the assigned parking location and arrival instructions.
Aircraft Services
The Charlottetown Airport Authority assigns parking only. All aircraft services must be coordinated directly with the applicable service provider.

CANPASS
This centralized toll-free line operates 7 days a week for private aircraft, marine reporting, and CANPASS clearance.

Apron Operations
Both Apron I and Apron II are uncontrolled aprons. Pilots are responsible for maintaining separation from other aircraft and vehicles and for operating safely at all times.
Apron I
Aircraft taxiing on Apron I must yield to aircraft conducting pushback from the Air Terminal Building (ATB) gates.
Exercise caution when operating in the vicinity of commercial aircraft, ground support equipment, and passengers.
Apron II
Primarily intended for small General Aviation aircraft. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to operational requirements and available space.

Upon Arrival Apron 1
- Park only in the location assigned by Airport Operations.
- Shut down the aircraft.
- Remain with the aircraft.
- Contact Airport Operations using the number provided in your approval.
- An Airport Security Officer will escort passengers and crew from the aircraft into the terminal.
- Do not leave the aircraft or enter the restricted area until your escort has arrived, unless otherwise directed by Airport Operations.
Parking Fees
Will be given upon request and payment can be made by cheque, credit card, EFT.

- Prior Permission Required (PPR) is mandatory for all General Aviation aircraft.
- Parking is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to operational requirements.
- Parking assignments may change due to commercial aircraft operations, construction activities, emergency operations, or operational requirements.
- Airport Operations reserves the right to relocate aircraft as required.
- Approval of aircraft parking does not include confirmation of fuel, ground handling, catering, passenger services, or any third-party services.
- Operators are responsible for coordinating all required services directly with the appropriate provider before arrival.
