YYG Welcomes Return of WestJet to PEI for Summer Season

Charlottetown, PE – The Charlottetown Airport Authority Inc. (CAA) is pleased to welcome the return WestJet to YYG Charlottetown Airport for the 2024 summer season today.

The first WestJet flight is scheduled to arrive this evening from Toronto Pearson International Airport, a routing that will operate three times weekly through to mid-October. Service from Calgary International Airport begins tomorrow, while non-stop flights from Edmonton International Airport are set to start on June 19^th.

“We are delighted to have WestJet back at YYG just in time for summer season with the return of non-stop Toronto service and the always popular flights from Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta,” says Doug Newson, CEO of the Charlottetown Airport Authority. “WestJet is an important partner for our airport, and our entire province, and we look forward to seeing Islanders and tourists visiting our province take advantage of their non-stop service as well as an expanding network of offerings.”
