Charlottetown, PEI – Charlottetown Airport Authority is pleased to celebrate the inaugural Air Transat flight from Charlottetown to Cancun, Mexico marking the first time Air Transat has operated from Prince Edward Island.
The new seasonal service will run for 10 weeks, operating weekly through late April and providing Island travellers with convenient, non‑stop access to one of the most popular sun destinations in North America.

The addition of Air Transat marks a significant milestone for the airport and enhances the range of leisure travel opportunities available to residents across Prince Edward Island. The Cancun service also reflects sustained passenger demand for warm‑weather destinations during the winter season.

Passengers on today’s inaugural flight were welcomed in the new check-in hall of the terminal with a celebratory send‑off featuring local treats and a special celebration.
