Porter Airlines Launches Daily Non-Stop Service Between Charlottetown and Montreal Metropolitan Airport
Charlottetown, PEI – The Charlottetown Airport Authority (CAA) is proud to mark the inaugural flight of Porter Airlines’ new daily non-stop service between Charlottetown (YYG) and Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET/YHU), connecting Prince Edward Island to one of Canada’s newest and most modern air terminals.
Porter Airlines launched the new route today, just three days after MET welcomed its very first commercial passengers on June 15. Located just 15 km from downtown Montreal, MET is designed to provide a smooth, modern departure experience. The new service gives Islanders and visitors alike more flexibility and a convenient new gateway when travelling to and from the Montreal region.
Route Details:
- YHU–YYG: Daily arrivals into Charlottetown at 11:10 AM
- YYG–YHU: Daily departures from Charlottetown at 5:20 PM
- Service operates June 18 – September 7, 2026
To celebrate the occasion, YYG welcomed arriving passengers with a warm Islander welcome, featuring live music and local PEI products for all guests to enjoy. Departing passengers were also treated to gate activations, including a flight giveaway for one lucky passenger.
