POSITION TITLE: Winter Seasonal – Equipment Operator
SALARY: $30.75 hourly

Background:
Charlottetown Airport Authority Inc. is the not-for-profit organization responsible for managing and operating Charlottetown Alexander B. Campbell Airport (YYG), Prince Edward Island’s primary commercial airport. Summary of Duties:
Work with winter maintenance crews to ensure groundside and airside surfaces are free of contaminants, performs general maintenance to various airport equipment, and various general maintenance tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A minimum of Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Valid Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement (minimum)
- Experience operating loaders, graders, blowers, or snow removal heavy equipment considered
- Must have or be able to obtain a Restricted Area Security Pass (RAIC), Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP), as well as radio operator certificate (ROC-A)
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional call-ins
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, writing, and using telecommunication devices such as handheld radios, etc.
- Basic computer skills, including email, electronic forms, and reporting systems
- Must be capable of working in an environment in which demands, and priorities change rapidly
- Consistently follow all policies and procedures
- High sense of safety awareness and perceived ability
- Ability to work shift work
