Caley Aylward – Saint Pierre and Miquelon

Lily, 3 years old, checks out a map above the city of Saint Pierre. Jacques Cartier claimed the islands for France in 1536 and they’ve been owned by them ever since. Just off the south coast of Newfoundland, and very remote.
